One of my favorite aspects of native culture is the idea that we must think of people 7 generations from now when we make decisions. It’s an incredible idea that really resonates with me, partially because I work within the wine industry which is home to a number of people who are all trying to creating something new and memorable for themselves, but also for their families.
If you want more information about the wine industry-there are a few great resources online. Here’s a great blog about wine and the products made from it and this is another cool image blog about wine.
Obviously you do need to be careful with wine and indeed any form of alcohol – moderate consumption is the key. If you have problems moderating your alcohol consumption then this might be worth reading for guidance.
The whole concept though makes me think about how our government isn’t even willing to think 1-2 generations down the line, instead they continue spending us into worse and worse debt-which is something the native culture’s on this continent would consider a terrible, terrible idea indeed.
Additional: Of course, one of the best places to find great wine if you’re from Europe is France. There are numerous programmes and consumer guidance available on their TV stations. If you can speak the language, then check out French TV direct and look for news on harvests and other wine news.
